I wondered if they have some kind of coating or advanced material that is supposed to resist soiling.
That being said, two friends of mine are Telsa Master Techs, and I've seen lots of stained-ass seats, so I don't know what people are doing to them then...
In what regard? Style trends? Discoloration from wear & tear?
It ages fine if you take care of it. Automakers have only been using tan leather for 50+ years now, and if it's of good quality, and not trashed by the owner, it'll look good pretty much forever.
If in doubt, add a resonator and thank us later. Car will still be loud and sound awesome, but won't find a nice droning frequency to drive you nuts inside the cabin.
I've thought about this a lot, and as much as I feel like the Burnouts should go for higher money due to rarity, I also think the perceived headaches of maintaining the matte finish, and general preference for shiny cars might make the CU more appealing in the long run. It's anyone's guess...
They show it as having an actual pump as opposed to the classic 'guided splash-lube' system we're used to in manual gearboxes. However, what pressure said pump can generate and how the oil is distributed are unknowns.
I know it's wrong. I've never personally used it, as it was in reference to how others might attempt to describe the two IF they were unaware of what Gens 1 & 2 actually are.
That's what the career Parts & Tech Specialist in me hears when somebody on the other end is trying to ask for...
The A/C shouldn't make a difference, because the compressor clutch is switched off at full throttle, and the liquid cooled condenser setup prevents most additional heat soak versus having an air cooled condenser & fan forcing more hot air into the engine bay.
The MTs don't have this throttle hesitation issue, and the following applies to the MT driving experience only. *I've owned an AT, and it doesn't quite respond the same way.
The "clunkiness" you're referring to is because the throttle response is dramatically heightened with SPORT mode...
Put 590 miles on her driving from home to Minneapolis and back for a friend's wedding. The CU Later gets about 30% the attention my old Nitro Yellow did, but I still saw people taking pictures on the interstate, and some strangers in a modded Civic Si and SAAB 95 Aero peer-pressured me into...
No surprise at all actually, because DCTs are nothing more than automated basic manual gearboxes with dual input shafts and twin dry clutches. A manual gearbox is a manual gearbox is a manual gearbox ?
The dampers are different parts entirely. I certainly notice the difference from the 21. Driving the same roads everyday, one particular on-ramp bump that would always activate traction control under hard acceleration in the 2021, almost never does in the 2023. Same tires and pressure as...
