hi, that does't really answer my question, I tried looking at all three videos of the replacement badge but I can't make it out if the OEM is flat or curved on the underside. I know the panda badges are flat but I would like to know what the OEM looks like

if it's the engine noise you should be able to hear outside the car, park with the hood up and see if you can hear the same noise under the hood

I would think that it would be easier to access the interior dome light and pull a wire along the A pillar down? Assuming it lights up when the doors are opened on US cars? You could use a relay if you're afraid of overloading the circuit. Just a suggestion ??
