As of now they aren’t any reliable/proven ways of getting those numbers on a stock trans. Afaik, there are no shops that will build the trans so that will be the biggest hurdle
I did not expect to login to the forum today to see a grown man have a mental breakdown while explaining how much more money and sex he has than the rest of us
Try a rolling burnout first. Just turn TC off and floor it in first. First gear is good for nothing but spinning and this way you aren’t going to destroy your clutch
edit: start letting off the gas slowly until you stop spinning so you know just how much gas it takes to break the tires loose
It’s a 45th Anniversary and you’re never going to get a concrete answer considering hardly any have been resold yet. Just look up what used ones have sold for in the past. There are some used ones out there sitting on the lots for 70k+ so best estimate is anywhere from 60-70 depending on how bad...
“Bolt ons” is such a loose term but the stuff you mentioned should be fine. Not going to be significant enough gains to warrant upgrading the clutch
For $50 I’m genuinely surprised that you didn’t have any fitment issues or quality problems. I bought a pair for around $160 (albeit still a China brand) and the clips fit horribly and there was a bug stuck in the epoxy lol
For any of us who have manual Supras, the lack of production is great for long term resale value but a pain in the ass for aftermarket support. Without a significant number of them produced, manufacturers aren’t going to waste their time with R&D for products that will barely sell. I’d be...
This won’t change anything. The best car thieves use a relay which basically just emulates your keyfob, so this won’t change anything unless somehow you mistakenly unlocked it and didn’t code in the portion to have it auto lock.
Fair point, I probably should’ve taken a look at the oem assembly before asking. No point in just getting a gate when the rod looks the way it does from factory. Looks like I may go the short shifter route afterall. Thank you for the reply
I guess the potential saving grace is that if this is related to the auto rev matching, then it sounds like a bug that could be fixed with a software update. Unless this is somehow expected behavior but I can’t think of why that’d be the case
