It has to be the ecu, its wierd however, going back to the point I made earlier when downshifting from 3 to 2, It really only doesnt pop when you go from the highest down shiftable rpm in 3rd (so like 3700 rpm or so), and as soon you press the gas and let off again in 2nd, it pops normally.
Hello everyone, I recently just installed a catless dp and am finding that the car makes less pops now after a 1 week then when I first installed it. Case and point on downshifting from 3rd to 2nd, it makes zero. When I first put it on, it made same amount of pops just louder. Im on stock tune...
Hello All,
I have just installed one side of the camber plates from Vorshlag with swift springs. I ordered the OEM perch option from Vorshlag. I am noticing once I take load off the jack from install ( sway bar end link not on strut yet) that the whole suspension droops down to the poin the...
Please check that your dust cover completely over your bearings, not squished in anyway, if its not perfect that will cause uneven pressure on the bearing...
Hey yall, Just wanted to follow up. I think I solved the issue and that was not getting the dust cover properly seated onto the top hat before applying and sort of compression to the spring. That seemed to solve the noise. However I am onto new issue issue (Perhaps I should start a new thread)...
i must be dumb, because i can not see how the bearings come off without them being broken already. edit: looking at previous posts, i see that some of you did get the bearing separated from the mount, how please?
Yup, exact same deal for me, however that should not be happening. You should not be able to see the white insulator pretty much at all unless you looking at it from a specific angle.
How are they able to use the oem bearing if its an assembly? At any rate, for the price of those mounts might as well just spring for some bc racing coils I figure at least.
So that is what i did for the last 2 bearings, however this is definitely not a permanent solution as for sure the bearings will wear faster since the have been exposed possibly to grit in the air/hands/ whatever. And if you are missing a few ball bearings, that for sure, will crap out soon...
Well, with our strut mounts, its an actual assembly not separate parts (thanks bmw). So you cant just swap the bearing, you have to replace the entire mount with the bearing (what engineer thought this was a good idea, who knows). You cant really grease the bearing unless you break it.
