  1. Track-friendly upgrades?

It was at Laguna Seca, TC 1 step off. I did a 1:38 there with EBC blues, and a 1:37 with the carbotech xp20’s with those old brakes.
  2. Track-friendly upgrades?

That pad for the 374mm rotor I showed for comparison to the g80 pad is an EBC blue. I would literally go through a front set in a full track day. Decent bite for the first 5 minutes of a 20 min session before falling off. only plus was that I could source them at FCP Euro and replace them for free.
  3. Random questions: brakes /suspension / sport mode

it’s a matter of having a different feeling not necessarily a performance gain; however, if the feeling inspires more confidence, then obviously it’s worth it. I don’t believe the coding adjusts any ABS intervention. Honestly I don’t see a reason to delete with a kit unless if you plan on...
  4. Random questions: brakes /suspension / sport mode

    1) there’s some brake coding that some have done to give it a more “natural” feeling. Personally I’ve never done it since I like the brake feeling I my setup (z4 might have different programming), but it essentially deactivates some coding in the DSC (disables brake pressure pre fill, brake fade...
  5. How to remove stock caster arms?

Nope, good eye. Just a quick google search for a photo to illustrate the access point.
  6. How to remove stock caster arms?

Updated my comment with videos to demonstrate the issues with stock bushings. Removing the arm is really straight forward, just need to remove the under panels to gain access. All the arms are tapered fit so they all should drop out without hitting/pressing after unbolting the 21mm nut at the...
  7. How to remove stock caster arms?

It’s the bushings that give the feel and they do make a difference. in the first video you can see how the steering wheel shimmies under straight line braking, and the 2nd video you can see how the steering wheel almost snaps in trail braking. The bushings pretty much removed this.
  8. TBK's Time Attack Build: MK-BRX

While you’re at it, have them check the mounting of the duct to the oil cooler. It should be abutted to the cooler with no gap. It looks like they decided to mount the cooler first and then they added the duct when the should have added the duct first.
  9. Track-friendly upgrades?

The only decent option I had for the 374mm brakes were carbotech xp20’s. The calipers use the same piston sizes as the baby M lite brakes, so I always had terrible pad taper. The pad is just too tall for it to manage the pad well. The best thing I did was got off those brakes and moved into g80...
  10. TBK's Time Attack Build: MK-BRX

Is that Teflon tape on the AN fittings? Its my impression to not use Teflon on those…
  11. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

What’re you doing for motor mounts? I did the power flex inserts while the oil pump was done- really happy overall but I should have trimmed the top portion as it does vibrate a little at idle. Tuner raised it, but in gear the rpm’s drop back down.
  12. Updated Oil Pump Procedure

Not 100% sure with the Supra folks, but for BMW’s with software dated 2023 and above don’t require an update for the ZTK pump. I had 03.2023 software and didn’t require an update.
  13. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

If you haven’t changed the original guibo yet, you got insane use out of it at your power level. Definitely worth doing that JXB carrier support while you’re in there. That boot was also torn for me.
  14. Oil Pump Curiosity

A simple search is all you had to do, and they’re a sponsor of the forum. They’re well regarded and endorsed by several members here…
  15. TBK's Time Attack Build: MK-BRX

Best to stay away from Pure anyway.
  16. Oil Pump Curiosity

@Speed Logic in OC did mine for $1,600. They can get it done in a business day. Replaced mine for peace of mind and issues with maintaining oil pressure on track.
  17. Kw ddc vs nitron r1 electron

I’ve been on DDC’s for over a year. Have two sets actually. great riding street coilover that can do occasional track duty. Feel free to DM since I got both sets for sale!
  18. AFE Front Sway bar and end link issues

I should have clarified- stock shock. Some coil overs (like MCS) have the provision for the sway bar link mounted higher on the shock housing, which would require the sway bar to be clocked upwards, putting it closer to the tie rod. going lower on stock suspension will actually make you have to...
  19. AFE Front Sway bar and end link issues

They really fucked something up. There’s almost no way they could have shortened the link enough with stock suspension for it to make contact… it’s almost as if they installed a link while the other side was loaded.
