If a 2028 GR MR2 looked like this, with 400hp, 4 wheel drive, a 6 speed manual and most of the same tech that my 2025 Supra has... I'd buy it in a minute and be willing to pay $75,000 for it!

After following up in a Emira FB page and looking at specs for the Emira vs Supra, I've decided I'll wait for whatever is coming next from Toyota (or any other reliable manufacturer). I really like the looks of the Emira and I wish the next MR2 would look similar. But knowing Toyota, I...
That is part of my concern. I want the kind of luxury the Supra has, but I'm concerned the MR2 will be less well appointed and use many cheaper parts.
Now I'm looking at a Lotus Emira. Just a bit faster than the Supra and VERY exotic looking!
"So far the only thing concrete as to an "MR2" style rear-mid-engine AWD car are the test development mules. And now it sounds like they project a 2030 model year introduction for that. A long way off. "
I'm 77yo now (and just did a track day at Road Atlanta). In 2030 I'll be 81 and I hope...
I have not gotten any photos back yet, but I did have a good time at Road Atlanta. I had a blast! The elevation changes on that track are awesome.
Turn 11 (under the bridge) isn't much of a turn, but I found it ... not scary, but super unnerving. The approach is uphill and you just start a...
I was busy prepping for my Track Day at Road Atlanta and forgot about Le Mans. Congrats to Toyota!
BTW, I've driven at speed or raced on about 15 different tracks in the eastern half of the US, and the 'up the hill, under the bridge, down hill and turn to the right in 4th gear with the Supra'...
Is everybody getting ready for Barcelona F1?
I expect Kimi to be right up front again.
How about Red Bull being upset that their ICU was found to be the best and will be used as the baseline. That means Mercedes and Ferrari get one engine upgrade this year and everybody else (except Red Bull)...
For the last few days the weather forecast for next Wednesday, my Track Day at RA, was for some rain. I'm OK with that, I raced in the rain several times and did quite well. However, today the forecast has changed to sunny! I'm OK with that as well. After watching so many SCCA Runoffs at RA in...
Thanks for posting this video. It was great fun to watch and I have to admit, I was impressed with the quality that they are building into the GR cars!
No kidding! And those crazy pit lane speed penalties really screwed Russel. But then the team did screw up badly by not doing the 5 seconds at the pit stop. This team just doesn't seem to screw up this bad very often.
You'll like the Supra MUCH better. I considered a GR Corolla and did a test drive... didn't care for it as it felt cheap. Fast but cheap. The Supra is appointed so much better. Especially if you get the Bimmercode stuff and fine tune everything!
