I've raced wheel to wheel at a lot of tracks in the Midwest and done track days at a lot of tracks in the Southeast. I've been to Road Atlanta many times as a spectator. Now I finally get to do a track day there with the 2025 Supra. Looking forward to Wednesday, June 17th!!!

It's a very fast paced track. I've done a few track days there on my motorcycle but never a car. I've been to CMP, RRR, VIR, NCBIKE, and RA. RA has probable been my favorite of the bunch just for the fact you can really carry some speed the entire time lol.

Dude, so jealous. I've only done track days at Laguna Seca and Infineon. Apart from VIR, Road Atlanta is on the track day bucket list in the USA!

You REALLY need to get to Barber Motorsports Park... especially with a bike! The elevation changes are crazy cool and the museum is unbelievable. Oh, and the crazy art is EVERYWHERE, on the grounds, inside the track, inside the museum... even in the bottom of the elevator shaft (which is glass)!

Consider Barber Motorsports Park... crazy elevation changes. And Daytona, the high banks are great fun. I raced SCCA for 20+ years and a track day at Daytona pumped more adrenaline than any wheel to wheel race! I'd love to do Laguna Seca sometime.

I've done a lot of TNiA events at a lot of different tracks and they have all been well run. I'll let you know what I think of the RA version after I attend.

For the last few days the weather forecast for next Wednesday, my Track Day at RA, was for some rain. I'm OK with that, I raced in the rain several times and did quite well. However, today the forecast has changed to sunny! I'm OK with that as well. After watching so many SCCA Runoffs at RA in the 80's and a few other events there more recently, I'm really looking forward to finally getting to drive it!

I have not gotten any photos back yet, but I did have a good time at Road Atlanta. I had a blast! The elevation changes on that track are awesome.

Turn 11 (under the bridge) isn't much of a turn, but I found it ... not scary, but super unnerving. The approach is uphill and you just start a very gentle turn to the right as you simultaneously past under the bridge and crest the hill. I was near the top end of 3rd gear, or about 90mph and you can't see any road more than 10 yards in front of the car as you crest the hill. After the bridge the track falls away quickly and turns off more to the right and you can't see it until you actually start down the hill. I got better at it each session, but I never had it feel right.

And my Zen moment of the day was about 9:00am that morning as I was walking along the Mulberry Riverwalk (a few miles from Road Atlanta). It was a cool morning (to me) of 68 degrees. It had rained overnight and water was still dripping off the leaves of the very tall trees that overhang the path. There was a high hazy overcast so the sun wasn't heating things up and there was a slight breeze flowing along. It was absolutely dead silent except for the faint sound of the running water in the small river. I was fully enjoying my time with Mother Nature when off in the far away distance, what could I hear? High revving race cars at Road Atlanta! Did that bother me... hell no. I stopped to listen and the sound made me thing of the fun I would be having later in the afternoon. Now anybody who knows me, knows I am not a religious man. But at that moment a funny thought popped into my head... could this be heaven?
