From battery-in-the-back BMW forums, it sounds like the red terminal in the rear/passenger section of the engine bay might be the best place. I think there's a distribution box around there. I'm going to explore this weekend.

I'm installing a pair of Hella Supertones, but due to the increase in power draw, I'd like to run them off of a relay. Should I run a wire from the positive terminal in the engine bay? Any ideas would be appreciated.
