Got the GTC-OEC installed just a few weeks ago. With carbon fiber Meisterschaft tips. Everyone's got different preferences but to me it sounds and looks fantastic, huge upgrade over OEM. :)
I'd just wish they'd send me my personalized plates already. Ordered 7 months ago and still nowhere in sight. Washington state is so far behind. I called a month ago. Only one guy knows how to use the machine and he was in solitary at that time.
It was such a fun and responsive car. Felt like driving a slot car, the road could twist as much as it wanted, it didn't matter! I also miss the targa roof, as completely impractical as it was.
Myself, I'd enjoy any meetups. Still pretty new to it. A drive down to Olympia and around the area sounds like a good time.
I didn't know about Lake Washington C&C; if there's no Supra cruise this weekend I may well show up there and see what it's about. Do they tour or just meet and talk cars...
Dealer level ceramic is usually bs from what I've seen and heard, often even sprayed on, and both doesn't last like or make your car sparkle and shine like a proper high grade ceramic of the kind mentioned by speedracer. Detailers will often use the same product as dealers and call it a ceramic...
Well I think a lot of us would be more than happy to do that. But someone has to organize and keep organizing it, that's the catch. Robert does a great job for the north and east Seattle area.
Also, it's surprising how many different Supras show up from one event to the next.
Fun time, and all great pix there Robert! I really like that 11th one, the shot of 9 Supras cruising through the greenery. And if you look closely, you can see why we were all bunched up, lol.
Must be an insane issue that gets raised regularly here.
But it's understandable because the situation is very confusing for those of us new to super thin oils.
People on forums say, "Use 5W30, I'd never put 0W20 in my Supra! NEVER!" Experts in youtube videos say "Use what the manufacturer...
Only one year in, but unless something changes drastically, I'll probably keep it at least 10 years. Probably be even more fun after the warranty expires than it is now. :)
I'm using this Carpro Reset. Comes highly recommended and supposedly won't harm ceramic coatings.

And this Adams product to clean the wheels and tires, supposedly won't damage the finish on your brake calipers...
The Supra has huge blind spots, everyone knows it, no point in denying it. It's mentioned in every single article you read about the car. The blind spot monitors are great, an absolutely fantastic feature, easy to notice, easy to adjust, and more and more vehicles on the road have them. I didn't...
I can't answer your question, but my installed did swap out the base Supra amp with a 10 dsp Match UP amplifier. Maybe that helps figure out what you're trying to do. Sounds so much better.
I'm just starting to consider performance mods for my Supra. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts about where to go for the highest quality advice and work, in the Seattle Eastside area. Also any places to avoid, if you've had negative experiences.
Thanks!
Lots of fast cars on the road. You should be able to take a stock Nissan Z. And a lot of muscle cars aside from Hellcats and Demons I guess. Plenty of cars that don't look like it can kick our butts, like the Lucid Sapphire's 0-60 of 1.9 seconds (at supercar prices.)
I swear, sometimes it seems like every nitwit in movies and television is named Randy. And if you go to the UK and tell them your name is Randy, they just stare and laugh. Thanks mom. :/
