It’s literally impossible to see out of this car. I am entirely reliant on blind spot monitoring to see anything on my sides…like at all.

how do you guys drive without it? Hope?
If you adjust your mirrors so you can't see the sides of your car it's much better.

The one thing that was not mentioned are the rear brakes. The pads and calipers are smaller on the base. So if you get a base you need to be very careful when ordering rear pads because most places don’t distinguish between base and premium.
Bryan (Razorlab) mentioned brakes, I believe. But you’re absolutely right. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a 3.0 “base” and find the 3.0 “premium” (or Canadian ? version) rear calipers in a heartbeat. Everything else on that upgrade list is so minor.

Lol I turn that shit off everytime I go for a ride. Don't like or trust it to make decisions for me if the lines aren't accurate. I drive the manual and you just have to adjust your mirrors more inwards and You can look out whos next to you to give yourself a better field of vision

The Supra has huge blind spots, everyone knows it, no point in denying it. It's mentioned in every single article you read about the car. The blind spot monitors are great, an absolutely fantastic feature, easy to notice, easy to adjust, and more and more vehicles on the road have them. I didn't know my Supra would come with these, but I'm happy they're there, just an additional measure of road safety.

ya i mean at 6'2 and 260 i'm definitely at the end of the scale of who can fit in a supra... driver side i can see whos next to me no problem but passenger side rear 3/4 i've witnessed it multiple times on the highway where whole SUV's disappear from my mirror & line of sight! if it weren't for the blind spot i legitimately can't see them ( less of an issue when you're passing everyone anyway ? )

I know this has been discussed before, but looking for feedback particularly from people that ended up with a 3.0 base.

A dealership offered me an amazing trade-in on my 22' 2.0 with 11k miles that can get me into a brand new 24' 3.0 base with PPF included for the same monthly payment I am currently making ($710). They are only able to find me a automatic 3.0 base absolute zero in a 300 mile radius over the next 2 months. I do have the option of waiting 2+ months for them to potentially track down a premium but no guarantees or price lock on trade-in.

As far as I know, the main differences with the 3.0 base are:
  • No CarPlay ($220 activation through BRC?)
  • Worse speakers (than the JBL wow - upgrade later on?)
  • No HUD (don't care)
  • Worse seats (have heard people like alcantra better - are these the same seats as the 2.0?)
  • No blind spot monitoring (dealership can add for $800)
  • No red brake calipers (meh)
  • No wireless phone charging (don't care)
My two main concerns are no CarPlay and blind spot monitoring. Think it is worth it to pull the trigger on the 3.0 base or holdout for the 3.0 premium?
Blind spot Monitering saved my ass Backing up . Well worth it

have you guys ever got stuck in a steep driveway or brake checked by the parking sensors before? it's happened to me about 4 times over the last 2 plus years!
