I think if you wait (maybe) by the end of this year, you could probably buy a used limited edition at $50k, maybe a little more. Now that the more powerful version is out, along with the 4 cylinders, I'm sure there will be some owners giving up the 1st releases.
My theory is based on some...
Yea, dealers are just taking advantage of the fools & rich folks. They're either upmarking by the thousands or auctioning the car. It reminds me a lot of the Acura Integra Type R when it was released here in the states. People were buying the cars before they were released and paying higher than...
I'm not going by numbers, I am responding to the members complaining that their GR Supras have now depreciated. And you're right, at the end of the day, Toyota will still make it's money!
You don't need to read every post apparently. You just said it yourself, "However, usually..." Sounds like you were gambling on something you knew would inevitably happen...I mean, what were you expecting? For the value to go up?
Just drive the shit out of it, who cares if the value has gone down.
For all those bummed out that your 2020 just got depreciated, there are posts dating back before the GR's release. A lot of members here said they would wait because the 1st releases would A. depreciate, and B. a newer version would probably come out with new features/components.
Hate to say...
I had a 335i with the JB4 unit. If you have basic mechanical skills, then installation is pretty simple. Burger Tuning is active on a lot of forums and constantly rolling out updates to newer versions of their software. Nonetheless, I found the differences between stock to JB4 night and day...
Congrats!
Any plans for performance modifications to it?
The Akrapovic exhaust sounds beautiful for this car:

And a JB4 unit:

The latter would be a more...
Wait until a good brand comes out. Like ARDesign. I had it on my BMW 335i for a few years and never had any issues with it. It was well made and the company has a long, reputable history.
Another amazing brand that comes to mind is Akrapovich. I mean...it's at the top of the list. It sounds...
Some dealerships offer a return after their specified number of days. When I was looking to buy a used M4, the dealership offered a 30-day return. I'm sure you get charged a percentage, but I don't think it's anything ridiculous. To the point, they are still making money for sure.
Man, we're all nerds at heart. I'm sure the majority of us will feel like kids seeing this car in person for the 1st time. It's the affordable "super" car. lol
There's NO comparison with these 2 lol
My advice: stop caring about what’s under the engine bay, and enjoy these go-fast Toyotas for what they are.
What kind of advice is that (from the article)?? I OBVIOUSLY care about what's under the engine bay. If the article is geared towards car...
If I had the time, I would love to look up some of the members posting here giving positive comments versus the hateful comments they were given during the release of the Supra :bat:
Man do BMW motors sound fukn awesome :respect:
It almost sounds like my BMW 335i. When I had AR Design downpipes and a full Meisterschaft exhaust system.
For those that don't know, the 335i has an N54 motor, 6 cylinder w/ dual turbos.
