I don't have the RK or the SP1R however the vibration from 1.6K to 2K with the AFE single exit is no joke for a daily driven car... a muffler will fix it however. I can imagine the SP1R is much more tolerable that the RK.
I have been custom tuned for 19.5K out of my 20K miles on the car. Last 8-10K on a pure850 and I drive about 60 miles a day currently... you will be perfectly fine. Go with reputable tuner. I am tuned by Justin from Twisted tuning on MHD
I don't have this yet but I know Battle Aero sells a relocation bracket for the steering wheel controls that comes with the correct NRG hub. Just need to buy a quick release and a steering wheel.
I have the Conti's on the rear 295/35/19. Drastic improvement over stock and a great everyday street tire but you are still going to spin through 2nd gear. If you want to hook, go with the Nitto's
If I understood you correctly, the car is definitely less punchy compared to the stock turbo because torque comes on a bit later. It made the power more usable in my case since I am not running proper tires
I am running a pure850 on 93oct tuned on MHD. Haven't dyno'd but definitely worth the upgrade and sets you up for your goals when MHD finally releases true flex capability for the supra... Getting so tired of waiting I am considering running meth :banghead:
There is a bit of lag compared to the OEM turbo but I wouldn't say it is very noticeable. I would have to look at some logs to confirm but I noticed boost come on around 3k-3.2k rpm
Just installed the p850. Currently running 93 only (No meth or ethanol for now). Tuned by Justin at Twisted Tuning on MHD. He could probably give you a good whp range on what to expect. Hoping to get it on the dyno early next year.
Never had any of those issues, even with the OTS tunes. I think you will be perfectly fine. If you run into any issues there are numerous tuners who can help as well.
Flash with the door closed. When I first tried flashing with MHD I had the door open and it failed. After that, the door was always closed and I've probably flashed the car 20 times since then with no issues.
I think a 285 would still do great for off the line traction with the 555r2. Going to 18's would be great. a 305/45r18 would look meaty on the rear!! Not sure it would fit though lol
I have not.. I have run the MHD OTS E30 map and the added torque I got from the e blend was enough to overwhelm the Conti's pretty easily. If I were to run e30-50 consistently, I would definitely go for the 555r2 but I think the only size that would comfortably fit is the 285/35 (I don't think...
