Good to hear😁
Does the upgraded turbo make the car less jerky at slow speeds?

Steve
If I understood you correctly, the car is definitely less punchy compared to the stock turbo because torque comes on a bit later. It made the power more usable in my case since I am not running proper tires

What’s with the TQ? Less then me on 93… e50 stock turbo cars are making 600 wheel, that’s about the max I’d put through the stock trans but 480 seems very low. I’d want to be around 550 wheel and 600 wheel torque if I did a pure on 93
For the torque, not everyone wants 8000tq at 3000rpm. plus, its generally not usuable. no one races at 3000rpm. 4800rpm and up is where racing is done. that whole Peak torque number is just eye candy and not really usable.

what do you mean less jerky?
meaning the throttle feels very touch..
Don’t really know any other way to explain it

Oh ok. You don't need a turbo upgrade to Fix that

What’s up guys..
Just wanted to give an update..

Picked my car up over the weekend from CES Motorsport after the pure 800 install..
Car made roughly 500hp/500tq on there dyno..(100 temps)
Not overly impressive but the car pulls hard all the way to redline now..
From about 3500 rpm to redline it pulls n pulls..
And still a bullet off the line..

The induction noise also seems to be a lot louder then with the stock turbo (mst intake)..which I really like..
With the custom map the car is more drivable at low speeds.. throttle doesn’t seem as sensitive?

Now if MHD would release a flex option for the 21s I’d be golden..

I also had the XPH Tran flash installed..
Don’t know if it’s me but I really didn’t notice a huge difference in shift speeds using paddles..(stage 3)
Granted I have only driven the car for about an hour..(my wife n daughter picked thecar up from CES and drove it back)..
Maybe my next drive I’ll be able to play a little more and actually tell a difference?

Overall extremely happy with the upgrade..

Was it worth the expense?
For me yes, since I don’t have the flex fuel option from MHD, this put me pretty close to where e50 would get me.
Minus some of the torque..

I spray 100%
A big drum of 54gal of methanol is like $50 here

im asking why would he recommend a mix and not 100%?
$1/gallon of methanol? Doubt

Wm50 mix cleans cylinders, provides some octane, and lowers temps. Spraying m1-5 is rough on lines, pumps, and seen as unsafe for most because of uneven distribution of an inline 6. Zerk has used meth for octane temporarily but that’s not recommended by most. Losing the water cooling / cleaning element would be stupid

hoping someone with a little knowledge might take a look at these logs for me..
Just wanna make sure everything’s good..

much appreciated
Steve
I'm not a tuner, this is not tuning advice.

Logs look generally ok. You're hitting boost targets (which are very conservative). IATs are low, and timing is a little low on the top end. I'd expect closer to 14° of timing, you're hitting around 10°. Lambda seems fine.

Basically what I'd expect from an OTS map.

thanks @zrk..
I don’t mind the conservative part of the tune..lol
this is suppose to be a custom tune for the Pure 800..

does the timing corrections look ok?

I’m trying to figure out why there seems to be so much turbo lag..
If I’m in 4th and downshift to 3rd(4500)
It seems to take a few seconds to build boost..
Kinda feels like an old school turbo, to where nothing nothing then all of a sudden you get all the power..

this may just be the nature of the 800..
I just wanna make sure everything’s good..

other than the little bit of lag the car runs great..

thanks for your thoughts
Steve
