£500 deposit which is refundable. I’m guessing it’s going to be 3 - 4 months for my score to pick up and they won’t want it sat around for that long.
I had £10k to put down in all which I thought would have been healthy enough but it’s just the score that’s upset things.
I’ll just enjoy the...
Mine arrived at the dealer today and………….I’m NOT picking up a new supra.
Slightly embarrassing but basically because I bought a house a few months ago my credit score has dropped off a cliff. I’d not even given it a thought as car finance is the one thing I have never ever struggled to get but...
I guess mine must have been on the boat before. Won’t be long pal. Mine is at Derbyshire plant still. I reckon it’ll be at the dealer in around a week or so now
That’s an excellent price. I got it to around £450 with my wife on who only has about 3 years ncb as she’s not had her own insurance policy for that long (always used to be named driver on my policy while we shared a car) so probably a small factor.
Still happy with that
Keep checking, I’m sure it will update very soon.
In a matter of hours my status has changed again from being at Grimsby to being at its last stop off in Derbyshire before it reaches the dealer.
(Sorry if this is annoying anyone btw - just wanted to document each of the status updates for...
Update for you guys as I think there’s a few of us possibly with cars on the same boat. I don’t yet have an update on WHERE the car is (app still says Austria) BUT dealer told me today the ETA has jumped forward another 2 weeks. Previously it was 29th June. Today they said 16th June plus 2 days...
Being an old bugger FTW!!! ?
I’m speaking for myself just to be clear. I’m 38 in August but it’s one of the perks of being what I call “old” (at least my 12 year old daughter thinks I’m ancient) but yeah I remember the times when it was dearer to insure a car for a year than it was to buy the...
@SupraStu @Howzer73 any updates with you?
I think it was Monday (23rd) they updated the app to say it’s “in transit”. At this point it’s still saying “Graz-Austria”.
I’m sure by this point my app is running behind. I’m thinking surely by now it must be in the UK or at least Bruges.
Hi all, just seeing if anyone has had any particularly good experience with finding an insurer for their supra.
In the past I’ve used a mix of “specialists” and just a price comparison site. I noticed when I bought my FK8 some specialists wouldn’t insure anything at that value and obviously the...
At least they admitted it and paid up. The Honda dealer I took my 8th gen civic to a couple years ago put a ding in the drivers door and fender and wouldn’t accept liability. Said they couldn’t because they’ve had so many customers “try it on”.
All he suggested was getting someone to walk...
Ah apologies, my memory is terrible so I regularly forget conversations that take place ?
I’ve seen that grey supra once in 6 months. You can guarantee as soon as I get mine I’ll see it and probably others all of the time!
I ALMOST have one. I’m updating the UK “ordering to delivery” thread with...
I’m gonna say I’m tentative on this just because August is always a busy month for me. I’ve got at least 2 weekends away already but if I can make it I will.
Cwmbran, South Wales
I had my notification on Saturday that they’d started building my car and I got a notification this evening to say it had left the factory so it’s taken them 6 days to get mine out the door. I’m hoping perhaps another 2 weeks from now I may be picking it up. We’ll see!
You could try Voss auto design in Newport?
I am indeed in Cwmbran! Whereabouts are you then? I’ve only caught sight of a supra around these parts once and it was a grey one. Could that have been you?
Yep, wheels off and the surface needs to be spotless before you coat with ceramic.
I’d do 2 coats and leave about an hour between coats.
Good thorough coverage will help stop your calipers getting pitted with dirt. They’ll stay looking fresh for a long time
