The leak continued, so I brought it to my local race shop. They mentioned this was a common issue and that the fix was simply tightening the clips. After they did that, the leak was completely resolved. It only cost around $50 to get it taken care of.

No I wasn’t able to find it. The issue turned out to be the magnetic micro switch in the latch. Once replaced the hood light disappeared

Turns out the hood latch sensor/bracket was broken. Replaced it with part number 53510WAA03 and it resolved itself.

I also went through the exact same issue and after plugging in the seat belt wire Bimmer Remote was able to code out the seat belt light.
