Certainly an interesting move. There'll be debates til the end of time about dealer servicing costs vs. independent, but this makes a good case for a perk from a Toyota service which an indy would struggle to match for value.

Perhaps not relevant to the wider Toyota range, but definitely so for the Supra, extended factory-equivalent warranties on similar cars (718, A110 etc.) run to £1,200+ yer year.

I wonder how many will keep their Supra/GR86/GR Yaris for longer now that they can get what is effectively a factory warranty for 10 years. It's certainly tempting me.
