It’s so difficult to capture and playback the exhaust notes of these cars. In person the AWE system with the AA catted dp sounds absolutely amazing.

Cold start is beast AF but it quiets down A LOT after the car warms up for a minute. Leave it in normal mode and it’s no louder than OEM at low speed cruising.

The track version I have literally rattles the house on cold start. However, once the car is warmed up, even it is barely louder than stock at idle (just with a deeper tone).

Who is Trey? I purchased the AWE Touring system and AA catted DP from Speed Industry.

I was under the impression AWE doesn't use the factory electronic valve, thus there shouldn't be a sound difference from normal and sport mode. Or maybe I'm confusing with another brand...?

You are correct that the AWE systems do not use a valve. However, when In sport mode the pops and burbles are more prevalent even without the use of a valve in the exhaust system.
