2021 Brake Recall problem?

Hello everyone, new member here….

Little breakdown: Dropped my supra off for them to perform a break recall and after 5 days I was told they couldn't get into my ECU because of my aftermarket Alpine stereo system. As I am not knowledgable when it comes to this type of stuff, could this really be the case? Ive never heard of an aftermarket stereo system interfering with the ECU but I could be wrong. If anyone else has had a similar scenario please let me know!

All modules must be available for the ECU and components to flash through ISTA. If something is missing (the factory amplifier) you will not be able to preform the brake recall.
