2022 Supra Brake Hold Function

My wife’s current GLC43 has this along with an E400 coupe I had prior to the Supra… a nice feature when driving in the city, light to light.

Hello, 3literV8Eater. I also drive my 2023 Supra in adaptive cruise control and have noticed an annoying sound that comes from under the hood when the car comes to a complete stop autonomously in adaptive cruise mode. It sounds like a short-to-long "moaning" sound, as if a spring or hydraulic system is resetting after coming to a complete stop. It is very noticeable during the car ride. Have you ever experienced this with your 2022?

I’m actually surprised how well it works. I only use it when going from S. Ft. Myers/Estero to Homestead, FL (track) and every time it’s been flawless. I’ll want it in any car we get in the future for sure. Bottom line: it’s been great, even in Miami traffic. Other than me recently mucking it up when we put a seat in. Which reminds me I gotta get that fixed ?

I only use adaptive CC on freeways or country roads and cancel it when I hit cities or towns and drive the car myself. Why would you leave it active in traffic and let it brake the car for you? I don't get it.

Thank you, Lucky Phil. I seemed to have exposed a problem with the car, that Toyota is not willing to dig deeper in to fix, unfortunately.
I drive this way due to the ability of the car to drive somewhat autonomously.

Surprised the MT boys haven't chimed in yet.. Clutch in, complete stop, shift to neutral, clutch out and you've found yourself completely still with both feet off the pedals . +1 for MTs
