I used autotrader and contacted about 100 dealers over several months. I eventually found an a91 for a price I found acceptable and had it shipped across country to me.
I’ve been doing the same, I have one lead on an in stock unit - the only other one has 15k in port options including the “carbon” wheels which don’t look as good as the originals and are a ripoff. I made an offer on the stock one but the GM is standing firm on price. Hoping to get a call before the end of the year that they want it sold.

The market is shifting fast, you can see it with the Corvette, GT500s, and other vehicles that were commanding an ADM - the super limited inventory on these is making it tough though. I don’t mind waiting for one at MSRP, I just want the opportunity to buy one new since I plan on keeping it.

Finally got word on my allocation for a non-A91 MT Supra. I switched my Auto allocation to a manual as soon as they were available.

Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA
Premium 3.0 MT in Absolute Zero
$58,050 for MSRP + driver assist package + dealer fees

Build date: 10/4
Estimated to arrive 11/29
Estimated processing 12/13

Christmas gift to myself I guess haha
Received another update on my car. All the dates were definitely pushed back but it arrived at the port on 12/20 and estimated to clear processing on 12/27. It’ll probably take longer since it’s the holidays but happy to know it’s finally here on the west coast!

Probably a long shot, but does anybody have a lead on an allocation for an A91 MT in C U Later Grey?

I’ve contacted 30+ dealers including ones that have reservations hoping for a back out.

I’m located in North Florida, but can obviously have it shipped.

My only luck so far has been one for 7k over MSRP, although I feel like they would be happy with 5k. I’m not willing to pay over especially with the market shifting fast.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff
This is the only one i have seen online that does not have a "sale pending" next to it.
I would give them a call and see if the still have it.
out here the markups are oround 0 -5k

Tried them as well, they said it’s reserved with a 5k non-refundable deposit. They were my closest option.

It looks like it will be a waiting game until more allocations pop up.
That sucks.. I am trying to reserve a second MT in case my current dealer (who is ignoring my messages now and has magically removed their online in-transit posting) falls thru. I haven't had any luck either.

I did email someone from Szott's Toyota in MI, who said they can probably get an allocation of my choice.

You might want to try them as well. I believe 2 others on this thread have purchased (with delivery) their CU Laters from them.

I’ve started to look at Porsche Caymans. So tired of waiting to get an allocation.

My porsche buddy is trying to get my to look at Boxters / Caymans too lol.

But something about the Supra's looks is really appealing to me. I feel like most caymans / boxters might just blend into the parking lot..

Szott only got 1 CU Later and it was destroyed :( best case is to just monitor the allocations coming in using Toyota website and contact a bunch of dealers

The car looks sick!

I’m very close to closing a deal on one after searching tirelessly lol…

How much did transport end up running you? I saw you did open vs enclosed - I’m considering going with the same carrier but man have I had bad luck with open transport…

Congrats! This gas station is like a mile away lol

Guys, what insurance company do you go with for a car that is mostly sitting in a garage?
If your car will be mostly stored, you can send it to me to babysit. I don’t charge a thing. ?

Most auto insurance companies have “storage insurance”. It’s super cheap but has very limited coverage, ie. Accidental loss from fire or building collapse, etc. You just have to ask them.

I went open since I’m gonna drive the car anyway and I’m not the biggest on keeping the car “perfect”. It’s also cheaper lol. Was about $650 from LA-MI.

Yeah it’s a huge swing on price - over a $1,000 difference for me. It’s not the enclosed part that worries me, it usually ends up being the driver on open transport.

IE: the driver doesn’t use ramps and scrapes the paint off the front bumper. I’ve had the undercarriage dragged on a Mustang. Wheels curbed and so on.

I try and keep my cars nice when I have them, if something out of my control happens in my possession I’m more accepting of that than straight negligence. There’s no guarantee with enclosed, but surprisingly I’ve never had an issue yet.
