Hey Guys.
New here.
Looking for some info please. I want to get my car onto the track for some ¼ mile times but having serious issues finding the correct tyre sizes in South Africa.
I know the ideal size is 305/45/17 on drag wheels, but this is not available in the SS or the R or even any of the hoosiers.
Only size here is 275/40/17 on ET Street R which I can use on drag wheels, or I can get a used set of SS in 305/30/19’s to use on the oem wheels.
Which would be a better option ?
Is the 275/40 good enough for car making 500whp/570tq ?
Leaning towards the 275/40/17 although I know it wont hook as good as the 305/45/17’s.
Importing tyres into SA is just not an option as the shipping + customs charges is just too high. Shipping is more than the value of the tyres.
