they're not pedestal mirrors according to what he said; they are attached to the triangular window support trim as always, but are also more bulky and not the ones seen the mules and production proto.

this falls exactly in line with what the TMS USA employees told me.

So instead of getting a slimmer more styled mirror like we all wanted weā€™re getting bigger more bulky one... oh great haha

Correct, at least so it seems. I haven't seen an image of them as of yet, but I also don't really care that much about the mirrors.

I'm more concerned about weight and trims.

Boo, but at least they are different from other BMWs. Thanks for sharing!

I don't mind the size, but hopefully the mirror caps will be more round to match the sheet metal.

Haha yeah I really couldnā€™t care less about the mirrors. Mirrors are mirrors to me.

lemetier thanks for sharing your insight on various interesting topics.
Do you know if BMW is sticking to B48/B58 or using a modified version for the Z4?
Is a Z4 M really discarded at this point? M2 competition engine/drivetrain in the lighter, nimbler Z4 could be a true Boxster S killer (although apparently BMW doesnĀ“t care that much for their Stuttgart competitors).
TU (Moderate Technical Updates of those). Full M variant not totally ruled out...yet.

Hopefully the ā€œprovisionsā€ have been met to allow a manual.
I have a manual stick shift thanks, no provisions necessary...ya sick bastard ;)
