A91-MT Top speed is limited

My 2020 never reads more than 163, but it’s been gps verified at 186 (ran out of runway). Little bit annoying the speedometer will not read the actual speed, first car I have owned like that.

I'll have to try and have my passenger grab a picture next time I'm ever at that speed again. Which is not very often, especially with a passenger ?
It would be strange for it to go from being consistently locked at 163 to suddenly not being limited on a slightly newer model. Either I’m mistaken and imagining things, or somehow my cars speedometer isn't locked?

All these cars will have two forms of limiters, one actual speed limiter which can be removed with tuning, and a Dash speedo limiter, which can be removed with coding. When I had my FBO 2020, it ran it on dragy at a few events/ open stretches to about 180ish, but until I used bimmercode to code the speedo to show true speed, it was locked at 163, which was about 156-7 GPS verified.

Even without a governor, the manual doesn't have enough gear to go much faster without bumping up the redline (assuming it makes enough power up there). At 80, mine is turning at around 3000 RPMs.
