For sparco, nrg, braums (examples) seats, is the oem seat belt fine?? Or does it require a harness?? My supra isn't a daily. I take it out occasionally for some rolls, at the drag strip, some car clubs autox, and cruising around.

You may need a seatbelt extender for the OEM buckle, but you should be able to use OEM seatbelts just fine with aftermarket seats unless our seats have some weird shoulder/head area shapes.

If you do rock a harness, Iā€™d strongly urge you to consider a helmet+HANS when you do.

Iā€™m no safety expert, but if you do a brief Google search on harnesses without HANS, youā€™ll see the argument why.

For the best info, you should check with the track you are attending for the track rules and the event(s) you are attending.
SFI and FIA harness standards and expiration etc.
Be sure to equip proper seat rails and brackets so you can use the oem seat belts and the buckle.
I keep and use both OEM and the harness for street daily/ track events.

Kinda silly strapping harness going to the grocery which I have seen some people do..
