Alternative to EDC Canceller?

Switching from springs to coils soon, paying $400 extra for a damper canceller just to not throw a code seems a bit stupid.

Forgive me for being cheap but is there any alternative to getting the kit? I enjoy being able to turn trac control off. I have an unlocked 2021 with bm3

I think there’s a way to code it out but I’ve heard it may trigger other error codes.

A friend of mine had KW cancellers and they did not work, so he said that he had someone remote code it for him using a computer and he does not have error codes....well he has a CEL for catless DP and maybe the EDC is included in that cell as well...at least his car does not send warning messages. Considering he had to go through a remote source even though he has bimmercode etc.. tells me it is possible to code it out but it is a bit more involved than just turning off active sound.
