i take mine off all the time for various shit. several cars do because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. They get 3 ugga's on the impact.
I'm referring to JUST the center aluminum plate, which they consider part of the suspension sub-group, calling it a "front suspension member lower protector," being bolted to a stressed member, and the centermost bolt is actually a jack point.Yeah...using torque to yield fasteners on a friggin' undertray panel and various plastic bits underneath the car is hilarious.
LOL I knew you weren't trying to start anything, nor did I take any of that as a personal attack. I certainly agree with the excess of "non-reusable" fasteners on this platform, but I also understand the science and legal reasons why they do and say such things. Not trying to start a fight here, nor did I intend to attack you, or you providing the requested data to the OP. More of a statement of the perceived (by some of us, myself included) overuse of TTY fasteners on this car.
I'm not kidding though.
YESJust to clarify. I can just reuse the bolts for the aluminum skid plate? I’d just have to torque to 41 ft-lbs and tighten another 45 degrees? I only took out the 12 bolts holding the skid plate.
You said you were coming to get it.Where's my cargo net and rug you FIB?!
Was going let you take some material off my clutch as as well..You said you were coming to get it.
