Am I going to cook my diff with my exhaust?

I installed the AWE touring with resonators. It was a bitch and a half to get the tips aligned. I had all the clamps loose when trying to align too. Initially I tucked the resonator pipe nicely into the car and it all fit but it caused the exhaust tip to touch the car (especially on the left side). I managed to finally get everything aligned but that left side is coming extremely close to the diff cooler. Is this too close? Am I going to end up cooking my diff?

There is the same gap on the inside edge, just slightly different angles.

I would not be comfortable driving it with that alignment. The exhaust is just on hangers and likely to contact the differential... Maybe try loosening the clamps and rotating that left pipe clockwise a bit (it doesn't look aligned relative to the right pipe to me)... or check with AWE.

Your opportunity for adjustments lies in the resonated mid-pipes. Rotating will bring the tube further away from the diff, and when it achieves operating temperatures, it will relocate further away from the diff once thermal expansion takes place. Further, as long as the tube isn't in contact with the diff, it will be okay. That area is the lower heat sink of the diff where there are no critical electric components.

Once you've adjusted that area, you can rotate the axleback portions at the breakpoint behind the AWE bracket. This will help your tip alignment as it will swivel the entire rear section.
