It is a slow trickle from wholesale to retail, but it is happening
6-8 weeks retail pricing lags behind wholesale
The 90+ days delinquency rate for auto loans are also rising, which will lead to repossession and an increase in inventory

The market is starting to come down. Even though I'm technically local, I wouldn't go $5k-10k over MSRP.

Beautiful car, but if I'm going to spend around $70k, it won't be for a Supra.

I turned down a local deal on a A91 MT because of 5k markup....I wanted MSRP. So I passed the deal on. I'm just not going to pay it...if others will and they keep driving the prices high...then they will...they will keep charging over MSRP until no one is left to pay it.

People paying over MSRP...get the privilege to have the car soonest. I'm not that person.
