Maybe I need to work backwards, does anyone know all reasons there would be an audible beeping warning noise?

The only things I can think of are:

1) Traction control
2) Speed warning
3) Lane departure
4) Bluetooth or wireless connectivity

Worst case scenario, unplug the battery and/ or reset all your settings to factory.

Looking at the online manual, seems like system limits can cause an incorrect warning or no warning at all. Strange.

Yeah that is so strange, have you ever heard the same noise?

I've used bimmercode to change a few things but nothing major, ASD and Auto Start Stop off mainly

I read the manual today and couldn't find anything regarding this error noise but that's great info from you

Everything changed back via bimmercode and still happening, all safety systems off, speed warning off, no idea why it makes that sound...

Does anyone know???

My 2 cents: Check the BMW forums or BMW dealer

It the first video it looked/sounded like it beeped when it was in auto then you manually shifted it into 2nd ?

I'm not sure I've heard that beep before in that context ?

Yeah I know it sounded like that, I only shifted to stop the revs climbing cos still in run in period BUT it happens in auto mode also

Will try and put another video up

Either way we don't have a shift warning sound

But you'd agree it's not a normal noise right?

Seen the videos?
I am not experiencing the same thing with my car.
However at the BMW drive event last summer, I drove a number of cars. I remember some of them beeped in the same manner.

Just a thought, perhaps it’s a warning for revving too high during break in period?

Does anyone think these sound similar?

Could it be the dash cam and if so why only under hard acceleration??

It has a bump/crash sensor in the dash cam...
