Just got mine, it's a pretty thing.

The slip joints leave you lots of room to work with for horizontal adjustment.

Small related install question if anyone knows. Does it matter very much where the valves are initially positioned? There's kind of only one position possible given where the actuator is positioned when you receive it. The tis docs I found online (granted they're for a bmw f30, haha) say it should be at the end stop (not sure if closed or open), and it's definitely not, visible below. fwiw that stop would be the fully open side

Sorry for the slight hijacking :)

Would using different tips solve the melting? It seems like using double wall or carbon overlay style tips would fix it. This is a ridiculous problem for a high end piece like this.

I need to figure out how to nicely spread the tips/exit pipes apart to closer match the valance exhaust relief centres

I have considered heating & quenching but haven't investigated that method further yet

I did buy a new valance to replace my melted one some time in the future if I decide to change the exhaust for some reason

It really is disappointing that such a nice bit of kit has these issues, especially given the cost of it

Sorry to revive this thread.
Anyone having an issue with a little rattle coming from the right side valve?
Mine recently started rattling and is so annoying ..
I donā€™t want have to buy an new valve portion of the exhaust or I donā€™t even know ā€¦.
Any input will be appreciated !
Best

sorry there is no fix

they used a pretty bad valve setup which taints what an amazing exhaust this could have been

I literally tried everything, some people just ignore it

on cold starts it was terrible

I love the exhaust ..
Itā€™s just at idle , that dang rattling is so annoying !! It sounds like thereā€™s a ball Bearing moving all over the place ..
Maybe @boostlogic can chime in . If theyā€™re here as well!!
Thanks for the response Frank

IIRC there is a fix by expanding the spring to put more pressure on the valve, certainly helped mine

Hello Everyone!

I hate to revive this thread as well, can someone confirm the size of the clamp that holds the exhaust tips? One of my is cross threading so it won't tighten anymore so it's not all that tight now. Tried looking everywhere but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!
