Team MKV, i need your expertise.

I did search for this topic before but didn't see any relevant threads on this specific topic. I have a completely stock OEM brake system on the car, mine is a 2021 A91 auto with the brake recall done. I cannot recall if it's always been like this but i can move the brake pedal side to side just a tiny bit with hand, maybe a couple of MM, it's almost as if there was a bracket held on by nuts that were a tad loose. I'm not sure if this is normal or not but it's annoying when i go to put my foot on the brake, i can actually feel the entire arm wiggle a little bit until i apply pressure. I looked under and the brake pad where your foot rests and that is solid, but if i grab the entire arm with my hand, i can apply pressure and make it move a bit side to side. I took a flashlight to look up under the drivers side footwell but i couldn't see how it was mounted/secured to the vehicle given there is a plastic cover on top of where it goes up to the mounting area. No work has been done in this area of the vehicle that i'm aware of but i'm not sure what they all have to do for the recall that was done last year. Should i take this to the dealer to have them look at it or is this just how it's designed, to have a little bit of play in the pedal?

One part I can answer is the recall was software only. Nothing mechanical needed to be done. Can’t answer for the wiggle and mounting point.

Got it, yeah, i vaguely recall that it was software only, thanks for confirming that, one less thing to point the finger at.

Mine was the same! For some reason it fixed itself and no longer feels loose.

Really?? Strange, typically physical issues don't resolve themselves on their own. Thanks for letting me know your experience though too.
