Funny, that's where I bought my GR86 last year. Called them about a month ago to check if they had a waiting list for the Supra (which they did, of course).

Congrats, picked up my CU Later Supra last week as well!

So I’m not quite ready to buy one but the local dealer here just got a 2024 new Stratosphere blue manual Supra that is not spoken for and I know for a fact they aren’t doing some crazy markup.

If this is something you are interested in I strongly suggest you reach out to my sales person there, who is no BS, no hard sale, down to earth dude. His name is Brent Whitlock, at Fredericton Toyota, his email is [email protected] and his phone numbers are 506-452-2200 office and 902-526-7814 cell. You can tell him john macdonald sent you. Please buy this car before I do, take the temptation away.

It is certainly a beautiful car. They don't let anyone test drive their Supra's, which is a shame because I haven't have the chance to drive the manual version yet. Someone is going to have a great summer when they buy this car.

Should my salesman be able to provide a detailed production and delivery status, like the one below, which they have in the US? The expected delivery month he's giving me for my car keeps changing and he's either unable or unwilling to provide me the current status of my car.

I’m getting the same response from my salesman (in the U.S.). He has always given me an expected delivery date of end of Aug. The website info did previously show possible July delivery which has recently updated to being August delivery date. I am not so sure that all the sales people know or have access to the internal tracker as pictured above.

this is what I received weekly from my salesman. I'm guessing in the change history tab you'd have something similar to what you posted...

FYI in the US. I did have this but even mine adjusted and changed a few times, then got put on hold for an extra month. It was a painful wait. But even then, until its delivered to dealer I was able to verify it all on toyota inventory website. They post the dates and the vins. So you can follow it there in the USA. Not sure if you can in Canada though

But if hes just delaying you because he sold it from under you i would be pissed.

I don't think any of these systems is truly 100% accurate or fully complete. I remember back in 2015 when I ordered my Golf R I got updates about when it was being built, when it was put on the train to the boat, etc. The problem was, it stated it was on the boat, and in fact it had been in my driveway for the better part of two weeks. So take all this stuff with a grain of salt. I know it's certainly annoying to not have an accurate timeline, but it's not something that the dealer or you can really control, so try not to be too upset about it.

My timeline was all over the place too and the dealer couldn't give me any useful updates.

What I dont understand is that I can track an Amazon delivery almost by the minute from the warehouse to my door, but a $70k car they have no idea where it is.

I'm not upset with the system being inaccurate. I understand this is outside of the dealership's control. What bothers me is their lack of transparency and not providing updates as the car progresses through the pipeline, especially now that I have a better understanding of what information they have access to. I'd be more than happy if I got a pipeline inventory update by email like Rob_SER every two weeks or whenever there's actual progress. My salesman was VERY responsive before I went through the credit check and signed for the car. Now, it takes several follow ups and sometimes weeks before I get a response to simple questions...

As much as we would like to think that we should be treated special since we are buying Toyota’s halo car, due to the Supra being a low volume car, the average Toyota salesman couldn’t give two shits about the Supra customer. They won’t make anything compare to churning out of bunch of RAV4 and Highlander sales. Plus, compared to the toaster shoppers, enthusiasts are likely very demanding and needy. A double negative for them. All I know is that I was passed off to a young kid (sounds like he just graduated high school) as soon as I told the more senior salesman that I want to buy a GR Supra, in manual….in stratosphere blue….and I know that they have an allocation.

If you want that exact car you should call the sales person I listed above as they have that exact car and are super easy to deal with. No idea on your timeline or where you might be located but it might be worth reaching out.

Registered this account just to say, thank you so much man!

Been waiting with a local dealer, twiddling my thumbs since Nov 2022 - I never expected to see my spec to show up unspoken for in Canada like this, let alone be lucky enough to spot it in time.

In the end, Chris helped me out. I'm not sure if Brent was either busy or not in this morning, I couldn't reach him. It sounded like things were pretty busy today though.

If all the arrangements work out smoothly, I'll be sure to report back.

So awesome! Love seeing that kind of help on the forums. Post pics when you get it
