Code reads "138104 exhaust flapper disabled". After installing my AWE track exhaust, I disconnected the flapper and tucked it away, then started the engine and i noticed the CEL. how do I get rid of it?

Also, apparently, leaving it connected gives a drivetrain malfunction, which won't allow the car to start.

I bought it used from someone on here.. wasn't aware there was a valve simulator. Anyway around it? Will driving it disconnected cause further problems?

Not sure if this will help, but many of us simply pulled the fuse out for the flap with the stock exhaust for a bit more noise. Could try that? Otherwise yeah, should have shipped with an exhaust valve sim.

I’d suggest contacting AWE to purchase one. Otherwise I believe there are other companies that make a simulator. Or try the fuse method, but I’m not sure if that will work with having already created the CEL.

Could you just remove the actuator from the exhaust, plug it in, and tuck the entire assembly away under a trim?
