Looking into the future for my top mount build. Whats the best route to take for heat management? Ceramic coat? Heat wrap? or are people just leaving it bare?

100% the best way to manage heat is to put the turbo somewhere where the heat moves away from intake parts. The top, close to the head and the intake manifold is not that place.

One thing that has worked REALLY well for me is this stuff. I even tested it on the front brake rotors of my race car. I coated the brake calipers then put regular vinyl stickers on. Lap after lap, the vinyl shows no signs of heat. It's crazy. I now coat every all my hot parts with it. My exhaust mani is coated inside and out and the pic below shows it after three years of track use. The hot side of my turbo is now coated and looks the same. It's a really good heat barrier. It may help in your situation.

Ideally coated and wrapped. If you had to pick one or the other then a good quality wrap will provide a more tangible thermal barrier.
