I tend to disagree with you on that. All the dynos I have seen on the B58 engine show an increase in HP with an open intake vs. stock.There is still Lots of Heat in the engine bay. IMO the oe intake with a drop in is very efficient..

Based on the data that I have seen, the temp difference between the 2 is minimal. the higher airflow pros outweigh the slight increase in temperature resulting in an HP gainhow about heat soak?
