Damaged front outer parking sensor

I was getting a reduced parking assistance error message on my 2026 final edition. I found a small stone embedded in the right outer front parking sensor face. I ordered a replacement P/N 89341-WAA54 in absolute white from Toyota online using their parts diagram and got the wrong sensor. The orientation of connector was wrong did not plug into the harness. I went to my local Toyota dealer and they confirmed I ordered the right part but the parts diagram is wrong. He ordered what he thought was the right one but it came in wrong too. I ended up using the BMW part number (66 20 9 826 955) on the sensor and sourced one from my local BMW dealer through my Toyota dealer and it was correct. Replacing it was easy, had to remove the right corner body panel so I could access it. I disconnected the battery before swapping it to avoid throwing a hard fault code. Reconnected the battery and no error messages. Sensor cost $359 which is crazy for what the part is. Was disappointed the Toyota parts diagram was wrong, hoping this is not the case for ordering parts in the future.

Those sensors are expensive!

I replaced mine with a OEM Bosch variant for $60 and it's been working fine, even painted to match the car.
