Had a flat on my front right tire and bought a new one. New tire completely destroyed and may know the issue from a tire/car mechanic. They told me the front struts were rubbing/very close to the tire and that is what caused it. Recommended me to either go down in tire size or get spacers (rather the spacers cause I already bought new tires).

My question is what size spacers should I run in the front and rears (they said the rears were close too but I havent had issues yet).

Setup:
Stock suspension
Alignment (dont know specs, from Gateway Tire)
Front: BCForged 19x9.5 +22 w/ Nitto NT555 G2 265/35/19
Rear: BCForged 19x11 +38 w/ Nitto NT555 R2 305/35/19

btw no problems with my front left tire

H&R makes a 3mm spacer and that would put you right at a +25 which is a very common offset that people run with zero issues on 265 tire including me.

you mean +19, spacers reduce the number, lower the number, the more the wheel moves out from the hub.

Yea I am never going back to them again. They didn’t even put the tires right, put them backwards

You basically have to hover over techs shoulders these days.

I went to a "motorsports oriented" alignment shop one day and trusted their alignment. They gave me 8.8 degrees of caster (on a 40 sidewall tire) that ended up eating my bumper to bits. That was after they shit talked me not having camber plates on stock suspension (LCAs only)

Whenever I go to a place to get my tires mounted, I ask the installer if he knows why there is a colored dot on the sidewall of the tire. If he doesn’t know why, I go somewhere else.

I also bet most of you don’t know why it’s there either haha.

yes sir you are right, sometimes (hell most the times I’m an idiot.) I’m really surprised he is rubbing then, he already has 3mm more space then me and no issues here running 265.

The way that tire failed and the fact that the wheel is cracked leads me to believe this was driven on while flat.

If I recall I drove home very late at night and just limped it home and dealt with it in the morning. So I more than likely did drive it while it was flat. Only way it could become a flat tire was rubbing so I ordered 3mm spacers to hopefully fix it.
