By chance does anyone know what the torque on the downpipe vband clamp should be?
I pulled my stock downpipe in prep to swap it out but cant seem to find the torque spec in the repair manual.

as far as the exhaust end, the accu-seal clamps have a 60 ft-lb minimum requirement so i have been using 65-70 ft-lbs to account for the variation in the wrench.

Stock downpipe/exhaust clamp: 25Nm/18ft-lb
Stock turbo/downpipe v-band: 19Nm/14ft-lb

No idea about your exhaust end clamps, but 65-70 ft-lb sounds high, careful not to over tighten bolts on clamps. You can pinch or disfigure the pipe.

Doing more research on the Accu-seal clamps, they need 61 ft-lbs. 65-70 is high, the installation instructions of “minimum required torque of 60 ft-lbs” is slightly misleading. Then the calibration sheet of the torque wrench needs to be taken into account because that will be certified to be “within a range” at a given setting.

it is amazing that the stock dp/exhaust is so low compared to what AWE is calling for. While the stock clamp is welded to the stock exhaust and is replaced during the AWE installation with an Accu-seal + exhaust adapter (to bring the 3” opening of the DP to the 3.5” opening of the new exhaust) 61ft-lb compared to 18ft-lb is pretty extreme.....
