I bought a set of winter tires and wheels in a square setup. I skipped the TPMS. If im on top of my game(topping them off), can I just drive without them? I live in canada, and we have very ice/mostly snow conditions. I planned on only driving on those dry/no snow days. Before people are going to say "you have a 50k, you surely can afford it!" I had an emergency surgery that I had to pay out of pocket for!

Yeah will be fine. Cars drove 100 years before TPMS came along lol.

just afraid of it giving me warnings, and causing the car to do funny things/limiting the car functions
It shouldn't. Just a light in your dash, maybe a message in your infotainment, but no decreased performance.
When I buy my track wheels/tires I'm not putting TPMS in them either.

I THINK but not sure you can not deactivate stability with out tpms satisfying the Ecu
yeah, I read somewhere the tpms is directed connected to your traction control and etc.

From what I understand, if it detects TPMS sensors, and it falls below the threshold, it'll come back on.
If it doesn't detect TPMS sensors at all, it'll stay off without issues.

Be nice to confirm that for the track. Had some days where track temps had wide range and I was chasing pressure and traction control up and down.

Although car will function without any issue as long as at least 1 TPMS is not detected, set of TPMS costs just about $130 shipped on e-bay. However, In long run, the LED on TPMS may burn out and you may not know if there's issue even when you have TPMS. Someone may prove me wrong but has seen it in other cars.

Also, I found knowing tire pressure and temperature during track session was very useful. I firmly recommend tire pressure screen on rather than "performance" display on infortainment screen.

Can you see pressures while driving?

Yes

It is handy on the track. Although my eyes generally don’t look at it while on a hot lap. Looking through the turn or at the heads up speed. But first thing I look at on pit lane or cool down.
I don’t think I have ever had the hp screen open lol
