Anyone tore off the factory spoiler? I assume there are holes as the spoiler has a wood skeleton I think. Not sure I like the factory spoiler and considering a wing. I suppose you could just plug the holes, but not sure how that will look.

Yes there will be a total of 5 holes once removed. If you are putting another spoiler it’ll most likely cover it, in which case you can go for Gorilla Waterproof Patch and Seal tape and put it at both sides of the trunk holes prior in installing the new spoiler.

Thanks. A wing will for sure leave the holes exposed. Will have to find some plugs, or make some.

Ah, well if your car were Gray I would have traded my clean hatch for yours with the spoiler already on it. :D

In your case you could go with some rubber plugs ( https://www.amazon.com/Piece-Flush-...ocphy=9060439&hvtargid=pla-313712494959&psc=1 ) quick solution but may not look clean as it’ll stick out or would not work if new spoiler partially covers the holes.

You could also get glossy black vinyl circle stickers for the outside and just apply sealant from the inside of the hatch OR for a clean look any body shop would be able to cover and repaint (since your car is black, it wouldn't be hard to paint match)

*I had a Miata with factory spoiler which i was able to cover with Gorilla Waterproof Tape without any issues with rain\carwashes, but my aftermarket spoiler covered the existing holes. Hopefully someone on here who's can chime in who's actually covered the holes.

Black is notoriously hard to match, not to mention the flake in Nocturnal.
kinda wish the flake was a tad louder in the paint. on days when the car is rolling away from a fresh bath is when i really notice the flake ?
