Fault codes

Hey everyone,

on the verge of buying a 2020 Supra 3.0 premium with 25,000km on it. Had it PPI, everything checks out and car is in great condition. Good battery health too. Car is stock too.

they ran a diagnostic scan and the following fault codes were found -

CD990E (Front Axle Speed) missing, receiver engine ECU, Transmitter DSC.

CD990B (Rear Axle Speed) missing, receiver engine ECU, Transmitter DSC.

30E06 Power Management: Reduction or Shutdown of individual electrical consumer.

801A55 Anti- Theft System: Panic Alarm

Anyone have any experience with these? I’ve tried to search everywhere but no clear answers. Any help is much appreciated.

The folks who did the PPI should be able to tell you more about those codes and common symptoms that'd trigger it. Initial reaction is it might be the battery starting to go, it is 5 years old at this point. Did they check the health?

Are these codes persistent and coming back after cleared after a test drive, or are they temporary? Sometimes sensors hiccup and fall off the wagon for a sec, then get back on.

Thanks for your reply man. I spoke to the PPI people, they said it’s usually just an error and should go after you reset it. They asked the dealership to do it but since they weren’t affecting the road worthiness of the car, they refused to do it. The PPI people mentioned that the battery health was good, no real concerns from that end.

I agree, if anything it may just be some errors that require resetting. Or it may be a voltage issue.
