We are currently developing our Track line of wheels and would like some opinions from you guys as far as center cap options. Here is one of the designs with two different configurations, which would you prefer?

We don't run center caps on track wheels. Stick to stance kid wheels.
Nobody said you have to install them, they're included. But hopefully you feel better after that, Chuck.

We as in the collective of knowledgable tracking enthusiasts. You don't / are not supposed to run center caps on track wheels (infact, some orgs prohibit this and call out to remove them).

It's okay, happy to bless you with new knowledge.

I dont mind this design, sort of like the Enkei NT03? That thick lip makes it look smaller than it really is. I just don't think its a good track option as I don't see a lot of centercaps on track wheels, since they can warp, heat up, fly off and trap heat in that area.

this is what they look like to me:

On topic, it'd probably be helpful for actual feedback to create an image with the wheels installed on a Supra, at least digitally. The wheels are really busy in their design so the upper image might look better but hard to know as they are currently presented.

General logic would suggest that maximum weight savings whilst maintaining adequate structural integrity is the highest priority.

If you can make something in 18's that are at least closeish to RPF-1 weights, that would get track guys here very interested, but if you end up in the 22+ pound range because you really wanted to make a funky design more than a true track wheel, you're not going to sell very many sets to track people, just to show-car people.

I don't see how the extra little ring does anything of value for performance except add unnecessary weight, personally.
