So i learned the hard way and im going through my CC company to get a refund from fly1motorsport. They sent me the lip and it's so bad. The fitment is way off, plus there is no way to mount to car. I'm not drilling into my bumper. I'm also not going to rely on 3m when lip is so far off and cost $1500. My Seibon lip prior was 10x better in Quality and was cheaper. Also Seibon has mount spots to mount to oem bumper location. FLY1MOTORSPORT lip also has defects in the weave. I reached out to them and they seen my message but no response. Customer service is terrible. Please do your research on this company prior. Hopefully I can save someone from this headache.

I have a Seibon front lip and diffuser that required substantial modification to get decent fitment. It also has imperfections in the weave. I had way worse fitment than you have now when I tried to just slap it on. I must have got a bad batch.

I removed my front and rear bumper completely from the car to do this right. Had to use heat to mold pieces and drill extra holes. Even then I still needed help from a shop to get it to a point that made me happy.

That's what happens when you buy B and C tier kits from companies.

There are only 2 kits on the market that have damn near Perfect fitment and flawless weave. That's the TRD and TOM'S kit. But you will pay a hefty mark up for that R&D and craftsmanship.

I'm not trying to defend these companies, but none of them are known for perfection.

All middle quality, and even some high-quality hand-made CF will need to be brought to a body shop, modified, and fitted to the car. Absolutely will you have to drill into the bumper to install this lip, that should be pretty obvious.

Seibon bolted up perfect and no issue at all and cost less. This one doesn't fit at all and even if your dumb enough to pay 1600 for a lip only to modify or cut and drill into bumper to have huge gaps. I don't think so not me.

I guess I'm dumb because I did that and my fitment is now damn near perfect. $1600 is about right for mid tier carbon front lip for this platform. If you're wanting the good stuff you're looking at $3500 - $4500.

I was actually at Insomnia Motorsport the other day with them trying to fit the Seibon lip, skirts, and rear bumper. The owner was pretty pissed at how shit the fitment was and how much work it took to actually get it to look right.

You must have got lucky. Seibon is mid to low tier quality that rarely fits well aside from maybe their hoods. The Fly1 lip you're showing has substantially better fitment than what I got with my Seibon MB lip when I just slapped it onto my front bumper .

Glad I did not buy one of these when it came up for sale locally, for what it is worth, my replica tom's front lip fits perfect for a lot less then TOM's. like a lot less, if anyone wants one. Dry carbon as well just like the real toms.

Yeah you got a bad quality one. Because my Seibon fit perfect no issue. But this is not about Seibon this is about crappy quality fly1 with no mounting spots. Even if your Seibon didn't fit 100 percent at least it had mounting spot in oem location. I paid way less for the seibon fly1 is trash .

Well you got lucky. Everyone I know has had horrible issues with it.

But yeah, Fly1 not having tapped points for mounting is pretty trash. But seeing how these companies operate your only option might be to try and do a charge back since they don't seem to be answering you.

There are parts that are high quality, sometimes miracle that they do fit so well, and there are also those mass produced overseas which is same as your Fly1 kit.

I’ve installed 3 Seibon kits including my own, zero issues at all, everyone had great fitment with zero gaps, maybe the molds changed or it had something to do with installers?
I want to also state, up until the Supra I was about as anti Seibon as it could get, I’ve installed sooooo many shitty fitting Seibon hoods on FRS/BRZ’s and other shit box Hondas over the years, but all the Seibon lip kits for the Supras have been spot on. Second to Last pic should be a shot of the side skirt lining up perfect with the heritage fender. I was worried about all the negative I heard, installed the black car, then went and bought all the pieces for mine because the fitment was great. My Fly1Motorsports lips “fit” fine, but I did have some holes where the P.O. riveted on the ends and it was of course 3m all around. Speeds up to 160 and it held on, but i did have some weave issues with it, not as bad as the OP.
last picture has so e shots of the weave one the Seibon that has a couple places that are not perfect, but for the cost of this it’s not bad. I’ve seen high end “perfect” carbon and it doesn’t come any where close to as cheap as this stuff, not even 3-4 times as more.

2 of the 3 I’ve done. Other guy asked for no pics to be posted untill his build is out.
