Would certainly be an upgrade from Checo, but I don’t see it happening. I think if they replace Checo it’ll either be Lawson or Danny Ric.
Agree. I can’t see Max being okay with someone cursing him out or swerving into him when pissed (Yuki style). Exactly why a hard minded Carlos, with his godfather dad, wouldn’t be a good fit either. Alpine = good current example of what happens when you don’t consider personality mixing of the drivers. Danny Ric is mega chill. He’d make the most sense in that department. He just needs to prove he’s not going to wreck the car and can stay in the points.

I’d love to see Liam in there ? but doubt that’ll happen ?

Fantastic Qualy! Going to be a great race tomorrow. Excellent job from Mercedes.
I haven’t’ been this excited to get home from work and watch a Grand Prix! I love em all but damnnnnnn this is going to be good ?

Also wishing Hulkenberg was still available. I think he’d be a good fit. If they weren’t promoting from within. Realize they have to stick with their drivers. Or what’s the point of driving in the program?!? Too bad they already signed that contract with Perez.

They were teammates at Torro Rosso together, and Max outscored Carlos almost 3 to 1 in his rookie year. Imagine what he'd do to him now. Carlos would be wise to not go to Redbull lol.

McLaren, McLaren, McLaren. What was that. Maybe Zak needs to focus more on his own team rather than what Horner is doing.
Not double stacking Piastri during the first round of stops ruined his race, and then they pit Norris A: too late, and B: they put him on SCRUBBED Softs when he has TWO NEW sets of Mediums in the garage. What are they thinking over there.
Max clearly didn't have the pace in the car today. 3rd best car on the grid. His call (not the pits) to box for inters brought him back and the decision to go on Hards was the right one. Although I wonder if he could've won on Mediums (if he had any left).

Perez is gone to VCARB after the summer break, if not before.

I knew it wouldn’t be long. When Max wins it’s 100% him, when he loses it’s the car….. I agree with everything else you said. By end of year it’ll be Max won the championship in the 4th best car behind McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari.

really thought Max was going to get Lewis at the end. I’m glad there wasn’t a lap or 2 left because he would’ve. Softs wasn’t the tire at the end.

Now that I’ve messed with Danny and got it out the way lol, I wonder if this may be Lewis last win? 2 more tracks Mercs go good at but idk if Lewis would’ve beat George today If he didn’t have that issue??

Stroll has been out pacing Alo so recently, I know the points dont show that but he has been I think quality and race now is 7-5 or 7-6 Alonzo over Stroll?

what was Ferrari doing with Charles again? Geez..

Like Danny said McLaren lol, must’ve tried copying Ferrari strategy homework.

I get I’m a Lewis fanboi, I got emotional at the end, my heart rate was everywhere thinking Max was going to catch him. The celebrations at the end and Bono on the podium with him. Loved it.

Also I didn’t hear any boo’s really for Max, I’m guessing because Lewis won. If Max would’ve passed him I’m sure there would’ve been a lot lolol. We will see how the Dutch react next month at Zandvoort, but I’m guessing there will be plenty of boos for Mercedes there.

Lol it was pretty obvious the car didn't have the pace of Mercedes and McLaren today.

They muted the audience audio. It was there. Like I described a few posts earlier, the Brits have always been poor at sportsmanship.

I doubt it. The Dutch are a lot more level headed. I've seen loads of congratulatory posts on social media (including my own) to Lewis today. But you just keep that bias going lol.

I don't see why. Mercedes are genuinely back. They were the fastest this weekend. They had a 1-2 in qualifying, were pulling away at the start, McLaren didn't come alive until the rain came. I can see Mercedes winning more, especially if McLaren keep making blunders.

Same! Not a fanboi, but I was very excited too. Happy for his win, he thoroughly deserved it. Loved the moment with his dad.

Was a great race, some rather perplexing strategies that sort of ruined the race for a few (Charles and Oscar to name two). I knew that when Lewis came out and had the lead with the same tires as Lando it was going to be extremely tough to pass him. Had Lando put new mediums on, I think he might have held off Max, but I am not sure if it would have been enough to pass Lewis.

I know there are a lot of Lewis haters, but it was a touching moment for him indeed and always a class act. Glad for him but bummed my McLaren boys didn’t finish higher.

Last thing, if you are Lewis, just won a race, watched Ferrari struggle again, do you think he might be second guessing his decision? I think he is a bit concerned but likely still confident he is the key to change their fortunes.

Weird race strategy wise. RedBull got it completely wrong with Max,who in turn had to be way too aggressive to make up for it, not impressed with his driving, or his radio calls today, and McLaren putting their drivers in a difficult and completely avoidable situation was ridiculous.

Verstappen tells critics to “f*** off” after Hungarian GP
The Red Bull driver takes aim at his critics following his own condemnation of his team’s race strategy plus reaction to his clash with Lewis Hamilton in Hungary

No Max you would have passed LH and had 8 more laps to get it done. Again losing the sight of the larger picture. His language is pathetic and well beneath him at this point in his career. He should never forget what happend 2021. That title has more than an asterisk compared to the others. Shut up, drive and keep up a positive light. Its a long season. Sometimes you are the issue as it was YOU driving!

This is so much like Checo in Mexico after ruining Charles and his own race. Ridiculous. RedBull continue to show a lack of organization as the advantage weakens and Newey is leaving.
Also they should install a gravel trap, remove the paved runoff, and you would have better turn 1 engagements at this shite little track in Hungary. Ive attended a few GPs there. The place needs a major overhaul to put it mildly.

I really think Max is a fantastic driver and talent, but my god is he a child if things aren’t going his way. He is quick to point the finger at literally everyone and everything but rarely if ever himself. I know the broadcast shows his comments a lot, but he seems to be the worst complainer on the grid and how he allows it to impact his driving is just not acceptable for a champion. Alonso is also having a hard time with a bad performing car and issues and he complains also, but it doesn’t impact his driving.

I really can’t stand Max, hugely talented as I said, but I would not want to work with him.

My McLaren boys had a great race and I was really worried that Lando wasn’t going to let Oscar pass. I’m a big Lando fan but had he not given that spot back I would have lost a lot of respect for him and the relationship would have been hurt badly between him and the team. He currently has the best car with the best teammate and a solid team, why risk hurting that relationship for a rather meaningless win when it’s unlikely to catch Max in the standings.

I just cannot believe how McLaren manages to mess it up every single race. All they had to do was pit Piastri first. No issues, no orders, no drama, pit Oscar, next lap pit Lando. Done. Now they can fight till the end.
And then Norris by being stupid throws away another possibility of a win. Had he let him by immediately, he'd have had 10+ laps to pass Oscar, instead of 2.

Letting Oscar by will always haunt Lando, and divide the team.
