Great interview & is that really a FORD?!?

Now you know how everybody else felt the last couple of years when Max had a car that allowed him to just run away from everybody! BORING!Agree with both of yaās! Was talking to someone at work you wouldnāt think was into F1 who said the same thing. Norris and Oscar seem like really nice guys, McLaren is incredibly quick, but both are so boring!!!! Max fighting that RB on a knifes edge is way more exciting. Seeing how close Yuki can get to Max or if Mercedes (and Ferrari for that matter) can do anything to catch up is about as exciting as itās gong to get this season. Unless they can dial Maxās car in just a pinch more or he can drive some more miracle races. Maybe Zach could add a 3rd driver and see how they all do
And Spa⦠to see one of my fav tracks ruined by who knows what (DRS or dry?) was a shame. It was like watching a larger Monaco. Besides Oscarās bold move in the beginning - major snooze fest. I literally got up & went to bed (worked all day - it wasnāt worth it).
2023 was also boring at the front, but there was still proper competition for 2nd place, and once McLaren fixed their car that season, they were also really competitive. While I too am a McLaren fan I also see how less entertaining this season has been, at least to this point. It's somewhat strange because it's definitely not like the season where Max and RB won almost everything, as others have won races this season. I just think now that we are getting towards the end of these regulations, the cars are so much closer in performance with each other that more gimmicks are needed to add some excitement, like mandatory double pit stops or off setting the tires that are available (like this past race).
Just watched it, while I know it's sponsored by Ford and of course they are going to rave about that Mustang, it was still a fun video to watch.Great interview & is that really a FORD?!?
I disagree. It was exciting for different reasons. When a driver like Max gets a car like that, and everything aligns, you get to see what's possible. Max did things, and broke records that weren't broken for 40 years! And he had that kind of car for exactly ONE season. And look what he did with it.Now you know how everybody else felt the last couple of years when Max had a car that allowed him to just run away from everybody! BORING!
Hate to break it to you, but apart from the races where Max broke the consecutive race win streak and Singapore where the streak ended, everyone who isn't a diehard Max/RB fan was watching for things like Mercedes vs Ferrari for 2nd place, McLaren after their mid-season update which fixed the car, Alonso enjoying the Aston -- basically everything NOT related to Max driving off into the sunset in Newey's RB19 rocket.I disagree. In comparison, McLaren has the exact kind of advantage this season, and are still losing races and sprints to RedBull, Ferrari and Mercedes.
That has always been the case. When Mercedes disappeared into the sunset during their 7 years of dominance it was the same. You saw them at the start, and the finish. Same with RedBull before that, and Ferrari before that.Hate to break it to you, but apart from the races where Max broke the consecutive race win streak and Singapore where the streak ended, everyone who isn't a diehard Max/RB fan was watching for things like Mercedes vs Ferrari for 2nd place, McLaren after their mid-season update which fixed the car, Alonso enjoying the Aston -- basically everything NOT related to Max driving off into the sunset in Newey's RB19 rocket.
Race coverage demonstrates this -- Max was covered for the race start, and then for 5 seconds when he was passing the finish line. The rest of the time we were seeing the more interesting events going on further back.

Yup exactly. The fact he took a GT3 car out for the first time and broke the lap record within 5 laps tells you all you need to know.I liked it for that too
Dude is such a freak on a leash. Chris Harris (I believe thatās his name) was fun to watch. Like Johnny said. That dude can drive! And even he was impressed. I donāt think it was for show. I also think Alex Albon and others interviewed are telling the truth that Max is able to take a car further & get a little bit more than everyone else. Hence the added excitement seeing what he can do and what new records can be broken, with him in an equal (to teammates) or superior car (to others).
Max acts likes heās going to stay with RB next season. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. But until then, if Max is in the race, they all are more interesting, imo, because anything is possible. And I think the other drivers (and teams) know that as well.
Max fans will never understand this, don't waste your time trying to explain it.Hate to break it to you, but apart from the races where Max broke the consecutive race win streak and Singapore where the streak ended, everyone who isn't a diehard Max/RB fan was watching for things like Mercedes vs Ferrari for 2nd place, McLaren after their mid-season update which fixed the car, Alonso enjoying the Aston -- basically everything NOT related to Max driving off into the sunset in Newey's RB19 rocket.

Coming from a guy that doesn't understand anything about F1.... Your opinions are as stupid as your car.Max fans will never understand this, don't waste your time trying to explain it.
You Max lovers are so full of it. I think most fans find Max actually quite boring to watch. Never any passing battles back when he ran away with races. Yes it was the same with Lewis & Sebastian & Michael! I find Lando and Oscar fighting for the driver championship WAY more exciting.I liked it for that too
