Gas Cap Fill Door Squeaking

Does anyone know how to resolve this squeaking noise from the gas cap fill door lock solenoid? It doesn't seem like you can access it from outside the fender. I assume all it needs is some lube but I'm not sure how to access it.

I went to the dealer for it under warranty, but they told me they won't do anything to it unless it fails. I daily this car and I don't want to to fail when I'm out of gas somewhere... lol

did you try locking the car without closing the flap? maybe you will see a bit more of the locking pin.

Yes, and still can't access the solenoid. It seems like it is sealed from the outside elements.

I'm curious how hard it is to access it from inside the wheel well.

Does anyone know where I can find a diagram for this? Id rather get this resolved before it wears out and doesn't unlock one day when I'm out of gas.

I tried to find the solenoid in the part list but I can't even find it there.. it must be in there somewhere but I just don't see it..

Maybe you simply need to put a bit of grease on the pin and hole?
I inspected mine and it has some kind of silicon grease on it.
