Honestly, the auto in this car is very, very good. And the gas mileage is insane for what this car is. Like so many people said when the Supra first came out, I first bought the Supra despite the auto - then realized the auto is one of my favorite parts of the car.
Like you, though, I pine for a manual sometimes, so it's nice that my wife is an enthusiast as well, so I can drive her STI anytime I want!

On the subject, I just bought my 2022 3.0 Premium for $1k below MSRP. Tungsten with red interior. Hasn't been sitting - I inquired about it 2 days before it showed up on the dealer lot, and picked it up 2 days after it arrived, so I didn't even have to wait for it. First inquired on Monday, on the dealer lot Wednesday, drove it home Friday.

Weird how so many 2022s and 2023s came over on the same boats!
Nice score, dude. Congrats! I wish I could have gotten red seats. I like those a lot, especially on the yellow :D

Thanks! Yeah I was definitely pretty lucky on it. It's the first one I've seen in ages that didn't have at least a $2k accessory addendum on it.

Right! I keep talking to people who had no issue buying at MSRP so I really don't get why these prices are staying so inflated.

It's really weird. The dealer I bought it from told me they're seeing Supras go at auction for what I paid for this one new. He said somehow they would make more money if they could just mark them as used. 😂

What a weird market, it's absolutely broken. Meanwhile, the dealer literally across the street wouldn't budge from a $6k (almost 20%!!!) accessory addendum (must have been that nitrogen that pushed it so high!) on a new Veloster N. I gave them hell, but they were not interested in the slightest. It sold about 2 weeks later, almost certainly to someone who paid the full price of their stupid addendum.

They also wouldn't break down what that absurd $6k included, other than 'a lifetime powertrain warranty', which their website says they include free on every car. I got that on the Supra, as well, but that warranty is going to be worth very little to me once I grow the nuggets to send this ECU off to Russia! 🤣

That's weird to me too. I keep seeing "I paid MSRP or lower" stories, but in my two year search, I never found a single dealer that would. I had a lead on ONE dealership, but they never returned my messages, I assume because they had none in stock. I also, personally, don't know anyone that paid MSRP or less, so I can't confirm any of those stories. Maybe it's peeps that paid over but didn't want to admit it. Like how nobody buying MT cars wants to post their receipts 😂

Not the best proof, but it's as good as I'm going to give you! :p

Oh - forgot to include the options from the sticker. HATE the Toyoguard Platinum BS, but it's on literally every car sent to the southeast.

I've been offered MSRP +$2k addendum for 2 A91-MTs around here (within ~500 miles or so). Just not sold on gray with tan interior, nor do I want matte paint...

I think we're talking about the A91-MT
Nope, this particular conversation was started by phloozy replying to my post about what I got my car for, which was in response to how over-inflated used car prices are. The thread as a whole is about some used 2021 for more-than-MSRP... Nothing at all to do with the A91-MT.

I went and looked at this car in detail today… super clean in person. Zero rim edge curb rash, no marks under the front bumper area, really no bolster wear in the leather and added wind deflector in carbon fiber to match the oem CF mirror caps. The only marks noted were on the exterior glove box plastic surface. No ppf on the car but the front is without chips. Exceptionally well cared for by an enthusiast. I will stop back tomorrow with my paint gauge to assure all oem paint.
