Have an appt to wrap my car for paint protection BUT noticed a rock chip

ouch. Unless your installer does paint touch ups, you should probably smooth it down and dab some touch up paint on it.

I can tell you that any imperfection under the PPF seemed to look magnified when I did it on my old car.

One trick that some ppf installers are using versus touch up paint is Crayola Crayons (obviously silver/gray in your case) filling the void. This elimates the blob of paint on top of the surface (which is enhanced with clear bra). Sounds crazy but works quite well for small chips before a ppf install.

I would also have the ppf installer heat the high spot of the chip/flaw in attempt to level the damaged spot before color fill.
