Hi guys!

At the moment im running heatshield but i want to reduce more temp and iat (i already have intake manifold with spacer, heat exchanger recently bought), i was thinking to switch to a 2 port turbo blanket instead of heat shield and put some sipver reflective tape on charge pipe/intake pipe and intake box(i dont have top mount setup but omega65)

I saw in EU mishimoto makes th
Or
Funk motorsports

also i want an intake duct, i was looking for an stl file and speed engineering one, any opinion?

Which one you suggest? And for the wrap can you teach me some lesson about?
If you have any suggest i review i appreciate.

thanks for help.

Speed engineering one is great. Simple install. I don't think anyone's done a 3d print option for free yet.

I think in another thread here people talked about that a bit.
The conclusion was it's kind of unnecessary, since the air is moving so fast that it doesn't really absorb the temps from the pipes.

What you should consider is hood vents though.

Stock OEM heat exchangers are better than most aftermarket. The OEM is a thinner, single-pass core. I’ve read that it uses a copper composite, but I haven't seen any solid proof of that yet. If you haven't installed yours yet, just get a refund and save the cash.

You can try gold wrapping the charge pipes, intake box, and heatshield, but it won't make a massive difference. Charge temps are 250 to 300 degrees F, and can hit 350 degrees F if you’re running an open filter without an airbox. Even higher on hot days. An upgraded intake manifold is the best bang for buck. but the best upgrade right now is running a water/meth kit. You can run straight distilled water if you just want to drop IATs without a retune.

Ceramic coating or using a blanket/heatwrapping the exhaust manifold and downpipe would be a good way to manage engine bay temps. But i would pair that with some hood vents.

Also an intake duct helps too

So basically after putting turbo blanket, and a intake duck i should be ok with management of fresh air and temp? I would like to open my hood but in italy is not possible make those kind of mods🄲 so i try to remain stealth

I ve heard too about oem heat exchanger but i find a good deal (half price) for a do88 quadruple pass and good structure, so i have decided to pair it with my remnant manifold, about the intake i have a box like the mst one, so is closed but not sealed like oem but i think i can’t use oem box with bigger pipe at 850hp, about hood vent i would but italy is not so much permissive on those kind of mods, so you suggest air intake duct, blanket or seal tape for manage a bit, wather met i dont like it actually to have it in the car honestly

I wouldn't waste the money on aftermarket, even if it was a good deal. Dig into it a bit more and you'll read people on the forums not seeing the price to performance gain in the aftermarket heat exchangers compared to OEM. Or none I've seen read so far.

I would seal the gaps with the airbox to stop drawing in the hot air from the engine bay to be more efficient with an intake duct. Front bumper, or the active cruise control radar delete duct. Take your pick. Headlight delete won't matter.
I would still try to find a regulatory bypass, if possible, and evacuate heat through the hood. Helps a bit with reducing internal pressure at high speed.

I get it, meth is a hard habit to kick once you start, but I would highly recommend you reconsider using water injection for now. 2, 500cc nozzles in the charge pipe will give you proper atomization. Then move to a 50/50 water-meth when you're ready for a retune.

Are you currently at 850hp, or is that the goal? 850 isn't exactly a casual power target. Social media algorithms love big numbers on a dyno, but a spinning roller is a lot easier to impress than the pavement.
My guy.................... aside from tractions...... IAT's won't be your only concern, especially with all that backpressure from a 2port. You better have plans on running full E85.
Did you budget in a LPFP, port injectors, reflex+, PnP harness, driveshaft, axles, rear wheel, radials and a trans upgrade? Or a very well experienced tuner?
Does returning that heat exchanger sound like a better idea now?
The B58 is impressive, but it's no 2J. 850 to 1000 .............. achievable or sustainable, you can only pick one.

In before the, TrustMeBro I have X amount "NO ISSUES", chime in.

Can confirm hood vents are a big help with keeping the engine bay cool, with my vented Seibon hood opening the hood after a long drive went from feeling like opening an oven to feeling barely any warmer than ambient when first opened.

Didn't seem to help IAT's much though, even when highway cruising at 1500 RPM. Doesn't really seem to help dissipate the heat coming from the turbo before it gets to the intake, but maybe my hood's vents aren't in the ideal spot for better IAT's.

Car is fully builded thats why i have take heat exchanger because i already have all the item you listed + transmission and suspension mods, daily map 93 590 and e70 map is 857 the actual power, you right on heat exchanger but you know after you modify pretty everything you need, you will always waste cash on the caršŸ˜‚ for the meth I will consider it and talk with my tuner his tought just for cooling not for big power, i will start to seal everything you mention actually, traction is pretty gold with proper alignment and suspension mod, in italy we dont have prepped track so we roll only (even if i built my car just for have fun with me not for proper race) and we love with friend go mountains roads
