Hi all,

I've recently installed HKS Hipermax S coilovers with their Error Canceller.

However, I still have the error of Chassis Function Limited. Its unlikely to be the sensor that the Error Canceller is attached to.
From this forum and some other bimmer forums, I've seen people having problems with the ride height sensor after installing aftermarket spring/coils or even dyno.

Anyone had similar issues and whether the replacement of ride height sensor would work?

P/S: For those that seek improvements in comfort and handling, Hipermax S is really a good set to consider. I love the ride quality after the swap.
I used to be running HKS Touring Springs with stock suspension.

Regards,
Benjamin

Thanks for this! I just got my car back from getting suspension done and was getting chassis error, it was the ride height sensor flipped upside down. Got the car up and took the bracket loose and flipped it around the right way and fixed the problem!

Was it your rear sensor?

Was it broken or just not positioned correctly? I’m still having the error after installing my HKS springs months ago. About to sell the car so I want to eliminate this issue. I’ve made sure the rear was vertical every time, and the code stops happening for awhile but then it comes back.

Edit: I re-read you said it was upside down. If possible can you send a pic? Cause I swear I’m doing it the same way from the YouTube vids.
